n "> (Reuters)-Canada-based Magna International Inc. said on Thursday it would acquire the BDW maker technology Germany four aluminum die casting operations in Europe.
It gave no price for the deal but said the BDW, makers of vacuum high pressure aluminium die casting, expecting sales of about 160 million Euros ($ 119 million) this year and including Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche among its customers.
The acquisition will be through Magna Cosma International operating units and close in the first quarter of 2012. This will give two Magna die casting operations in Germany, in Poland and one in Hungary.
Magna, the third largest car maker in the world also announced that it has grown to a fleet of nine demonstration electric vehicles based on General Motors Co. Chevrolet Equinox crossover.
