HVM team owner and former Formula 1 participant Keith Wiggins said the decision that he had no doubts about the switch to Lotus power to the new format-for-2012 rather than Honda or Chevrolet option.
"Even though the option, after it was clear that Lotus will result in a machine, it is a clear decision for us to run with them," says Wiggins. "I have great respect, confidence and enthusiasm in their product will result.
"I have a good knowledge of the history of the company and their capabilities.
"Into the first team to do this and be sic reflecting an integral part of the development process is essential for the re-establishment of Lotus HVM as leading teams, this time in the IZOD IndyCar Series."
In a statement called ' HVM racing partnership emerging Lotus ' agreement, the Director of the Lotus Group Motorsports operation Miodrag Kotur said: "we're excited to partner with an established and as ambitious as the HVM team.
