As the very step to fixing your headlights, you should determine what exactly the problem is. Have they gone dim or are not at all working? Is it hard to see in the dark with them or they have got water inside? If the headlights of your car are not working at all, then the most probable reason would be a burned out bulb or a possible electrical problem. If it is the latter case, it is a tricky one to fix, but good thing is that this kind of problem very rarely occurs. It is usually the bulb that causes problem. In almost all new cars, you can unscrew the bulb out of the headlight lens’ back. In older models, that used to have glass headlights, the lens itself is the bulb and one was required to replace it whole. After you have removed the bulb, and you see it is discoloured or burned out, it is time to replace it. However, if everything looks fine with bulb, then it is an electrical problem and here you would be required to take an expert’s help.

One other major problem with headlights is that the lenses go cloudy and yellow. This leads to a diminished output and poor visibility in dark. You can get headlight repair, cleaner and restorer kits to fix this particular problem. Earlier, one had to replace the lenses as a solution to this problem, which was indeed an expensive solution. However, now a days,one can fully restore the headlight lenses with these kits and the best part is that they are damn cheap.

Proper functioning headlights are a must for a safe drive, especially for those who have to frequently drive in dark. And now, you know it is not necessarily expensive to have them fixed and in most of the cases you can do it yourself.

Magna, the third largest car maker in the world also announced that it has grown to a fleet of nine demonstration electric vehicles based on General Motors Co. Chevrolet Equinox crossover.

Cars, SUVS, minivans, and pickup trucks are currently nearly 60 percent of U.S. oil use and transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions.

Today's announcement is the latest in a series of executive actions the Obama administration take to strengthen the country's economy and progress because we cannot wait for Congressional Republicans to act.   When combined with other historic steps this Administration has taken to improve energy efficiency, this proposal will save Americans more than $ 1.7 trillion to the pump, more than $ 8,000 per vehicle in the year 2025.  These combined measures will also reduce America's dependence on oil by approximately 12 billion barrels, and in the year 2025, reducing oil consumption by 2.2 million barrels per day–enough to offset almost a quarter of the current level of our foreign oil imports.  Taken together, these actions would also slash six billion tons of greenhouse gas emissions over the life of the program.

Today the proposed standards will cut oil consumption by 4 billion barrels and cut 2 billion tons of greenhouse gas pollution over the life of the vehicles sold in the year.

"These standards is unprecedented is the incredible leap in improving fuel efficiency, strengthen national security by reducing our dependence on oil, and protect our climate for generations to come. We hope this program will not only save consumers money, it will make sure the car has a regulatory certainty they need to make key decisions that create jobs and invest in the future, "said U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood. The nation's largest automotive trade show rolled into Las Vegas this week, bringing with it some of the world's most striking cars and accessories are mind-boggling.

If You imagine redundant Pep Boys, you are still selling it short. With 2,000 vendors spread out over 2 million square feet, the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show and Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) is one of the largest trade show in the world.

Exhibitors who are selling almost any kind of product imaginable: the tire, wheel, outskirts, carburetors, speakers, stereo, tool, t-shirts, toys, flags, gloves, calendar, ramps, trailer, tent and much more. The product is most reasonable to automotive audience. Some seem out of left field. Some go beyond belief (for example: cars that drive themselves).
